The MDC Live Arts Lab Alliance (LALA) is a cohort of six locally-based working artists selected for commission, to be in residence at the MDC Live Arts Lab with the aim of celebrating, expanding and deepening the practice of Miami’s community of working performing artists. The cohort will create new individual works through a facilitated feedback process to be premiered in the Lab by MDC Live Arts. The LALA cohort participates in peer-led gatherings in which practice, technique, feedback and ideas are shared. In addition to training together and sharing techniques and feedback within the cohort, members will offer workshops and Lab Chats for MDC students and the greater community, further activating the space as a center for in-depth multidisciplinary exploration in the live arts.
